Troop Meeting 4/27/2015

The troop started working on their Animal badge by talking about their favorite animals, their habitats, and the kinds of foods they eat.  We all went outside to look for animal habitats - the girls found several!!!  A lot of birds' nests and "homes" for bugs living beneath rocks were found, and we enjoyed being outside on such a beautiful, sunny day!

A few reminders:

  • Girl Scout cookie money was due at this meeting - if you haven't turned in your cookie money, please contact Courtney or Amy to make arrangements.

  • The West Michigan Whitecaps game is coming quick!  For all the girls who turned in their permission slips, make sure May 16th is marked on your calendar for that event.

  • Next week we're visiting a farm - please dress your Girl Scout in clothes and shoes that can get dirty!

Princess Tea Party

Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore is hosting a Princess Tea Party on Saturday, May 16, from 1 - 4 p.m. at their Betsy Cutler House property! This is open to both registered Girl Scouts and un-registered Girl Scouts!

Unfortunately, this is the same day as our troop's Whitecaps baseball event, but this is a great opportunity for any one not participating in that.

Girls will attend princess school and learn how princesses are honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, and courageous and strong. Girls will have the opportunity to learn proper table ettiquette as real princesses (character actors) will be joining them for tea! Girls will receive a princess patch at this event.

Remember to dress like a princess!

Badge Ceremony

After five long months of working hard, the girls finally received their Badges and awards last night!  This group of girls has grown so much over the past few months!  They’ve learned team work and how to be a sister to every Girl Scout though the hard work and fun they’ve had.  We are so honored to welcome you tonight and hope you enjoy seeing the pride and sense of accomplishment on each young girl’s face as they receive the badges they’ve worked so hard to receive!

Congratulations to all the Girl Scouts from troop #4324!

Cookie Sales!!!

Troop #4324′s cookie booth sales were a success!

Thank you to Shylea, Maddie, Nora, Lilly and Elektra for coming out on very short notice Saturday and working the cookie booth at Walmart!

The girls were able to sell an extra 101 boxes of cookies! We are looking into more opportunities for an additional booth in the near future and will let everyone know details as soon as possible.
